**About the School of Biomedical Sciences**
As part of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences since 2015, the School of Biomedical Sciences comprises three Departments, Departments of Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology, and Microbiology and Immunology. It has 85 research groups across the three departments, awarding-winning teachers and more than 2500 equivalent full-time student enrolments each year.

**About the Role**
The School of Biomedical Sciences is seeking to expand its capacity in teaching and research in support of the Melbourne Academy of Surgical Anatomy (MASA), based in the Department of Anatomy and Physiology. Two positions are available.
The Lecturer is expected to undertake high-level teaching and research in Clinical Anatomy, primarily within the MASA. They should have experience in teaching Clinical Anatomy at a variety of levels and are expected to contribute to the delivery and development of undergraduate coursework and the supervision of research students as part of the Honours, MSc and PhD programs. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to meetings and administrative activities within the Department and School.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively contribute to advancing Clinical Anatomy education and training
- Make independent and original contributions to curriculum development and evaluation, particularly in custom-education for clinicians
- Participate in Clinical Anatomy research as part of the Melbourne Academy of Surgical Anatomy
- Provide effective co-supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students
**About You**
You are an ethical scholar who values diversity and works effectively with individual differences. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and work collaboratively.
You will also have:
- PhD or equivalent professional qualification in Clinical Anatomy
- Demonstrated proficiency teaching Human Clinical Anatomy of at least THREE of the following areas: Head and Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, Pelvis, Limbs, and Neuroanatomy
- Demonstrated excellence in tertiary teaching in a variety of settings (small and large group, undergraduate and/or postgraduate, face-to-face and online)
- Evidence of contribution to research in Clinical Anatomy
- Demonstrated excellence in the use of human Body Donor dissection in research
