**Job Description**:
Here at GYG we’ve opened more than 200 restaurants in less than 20 years, and we don’t plan on slowing down any time soon. To ensure our success as we scale, we have identified the need to provide stronger commercial and financial analysis to the business during the construction project lifecycle.

As the Commercial Business Partner, you will provide commercial insights and drive business growth and best practices through reporting, analysis and building excellent professional relationships with all key stakeholders, predominantly within the real estate and construction teams.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager - Operations, you will join the growing Commercial team at GYG’s vibrant central head office, known internally as Hola Central. We’re a high energy group of people with a passion for what we do, and we want you to be too

Here’s an example of what you’ll be doing day to day:

- Prepare weekly and monthly new restaurant progress reports, clearly communicating any deviations to budgets
- Partner with construction managers to ensure the financial impact from changes to scope are continually highlighted
- Ensure a post build cost analysis is completed and reported to all key stakeholders, documenting opportunities for improvement
- Continue to evolve the GYG construction cost and budget lifecycle reporting
- Manage new restaurant work in progress and work with finance complete end of project reconciliations
- Partner with commercial finance partners, real estate, franchisees, and banks to ensure all parties are informed on the latest construction and real estate related financial information
- Perform financial feasibility assessments on proposed new and existing GYG Real Estate
- Provide a constant flow of analysis and benchmarking of key measures in the market including rent, outgoings, construction costs, facilities spend by restaurant, equipment costs and landlord specific trends.

**What are we looking for?**
- Approx. 3-7 years experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
- Project accounting experience
- Strong P&L & balance sheet understanding
- The ability to understand, interpret and explain financial information to non-financial personnel with confidence
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

**It would be great if you have the following, however it’s not essential so we’d still love to hear from you if you can’t tick these boxes**:

- Exposure to Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) or development
- CPA, CA or CIMA qualified or close to completion
- Experience with Smartsheet
- Power BI and Excel OLPA experience
