What's the role?
Working as part of a dynamic commercial team, this role will collaborate with varying stakeholders across the Publishing Operations division to identify opportunities through data-driven insights, process and systems reviews, and a deep understanding of the complex operational business. Reporting through to the Head of Commercial Production, this role must balance financial considerations with business requirements to deliver strategic recommendations for the business to adopt.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Utilising your strong data interpretation skills to undertake data mining and analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Evaluating organisational processes, systems and workflows, in order to identify inefficiencies or opportunities, and proposing streamlined solutions for enhanced operational effectiveness.
- Establishing yourself as a business SME through learned in-depth knowledge of the operational business.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach by identifying opportunities for improvement, suggesting innovative solutions, and working collaboratively.
- Project management oversight on commercial projects within function including setup and maintenance of governance frameworks to track and maintain successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and present commercially focussed business plans that are embedded in the Publishing Operations strategy.
Who are you?
- Demonstrated previous experience working with large and complex datasets to analyse and identify operational and strategic opportunities.
- Previous experience in using analytical tools and techniques using visualisation software is preferable.
- Proficiency in nurturing enduring relationships and fostering innovative partnerships.
- Background in similar commercially focused roles across fields including data, finance or continuous improvement.
