**As a Program Development Officer, you will specifically**:

- Develop, deliver and support the provision of local programs and services consistent with case plans in accordance with relevant legislative provisions, strategic priorities, statutory delegations, department policies, procedures and contemporary best practice.
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary trends, practices, funding initiatives and service delivery options to ensure the delivery of best practice youth justice programs and services.
- Facilitate communication between youth justice staff and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to ensure programs and services provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are culturally appropriate.
- Participate productively and collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in delivering programs and services to clients.
- Develop and maintain a relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, people and services.
- Provide support and advice to colleagues on culturally appropriate services in a youth justice context.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
