Following an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join the team at Lorna Jane HQ. You'll collaborate closely with Buyers and Planners, contributing to our behind-the-scenes operations.

**About the Role**:
Reporting into the Head of Production and Buy, the Buyer will effectively research, select and purchase quality products for our retail, online and wholesale channels. As the Buyer, you will liaise with, and build strong relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, ensuring the right assortments are purchased and ranged for our consumers in line with the business' strategic goals. You put the customer first, innovate and challenge the status quo, to drive market leading ideas, develop strategies, and execute a range plan that delivers the appropriate balance of compelling and profitable merchandise.

**Your areas of responsibilities include**:

- Execute a range plan and buy based on budget, product offering, customer demand, business strategy and merchandise trends.
- Manage budgets and provide regular reports on purchasing activities.
- Keep the business informed to ensure stock levels are kept at required levels at all times.
- Conduct frequent analysis on range performance, sell through and size ratio and report findings to key stake holders
- Stay informed about customer demands, customer buying trends or changes to make more informed buying decisions.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Foster strong supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Coordinate with the design and production team to meet critical deadlines.
- Collaborate on pricing decisions and ensure competitive retail prices.
- Identify potential suppliers for future product development.

About you
- Previous experience in a similar Buyer role with contract negotiation skills in the retail sector.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Data driven decision maker, with excellent communication abilities.
- Retail and data management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Netsuite and/or Style Arcade advantageous.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
