AAA Traffic Control is looking for a WHS & HR Manager for our company which is based in Mount Druitt and has onsite parking available.

The organization is an innovative and progressive Traffic Management company offering a range of services, including traffic control labour, planning, permit liaison, and equipment hire to the Civil and Construction sectors. Established in 2003 the current owner has been involved for more than 15 years.

With significant recent success with the business and a future growth plan in mind, the organization requires a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic WHS & HR Manager with extensive Civil and Construction industry knowledge.

**About the opportunity**

The WHS & HR Manager position, which reports directly to the owners, is accountable for the company's ongoing safety, staff training and compliance of certifications. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the health and Safety management system is implemented across all the organisation activities, to start as soon as possible.

Your new role will consist of;
- Responsible for delivering excellence in teaching, research and injury engagement,
- Develop, implement and manage projects, systems and initiatives to drive continuous improvement of health and safety.
- Drive a positive culture of WHS best practice and compliance providing policy, strategic and operational advice.
- Actively influence and mentor managers and supervisors within the company towards best practice health and safety.
- Take a parenting approach to the provision of sound information and advice to the company executives regarding WHS risks and recommend appropriate strategic solutions.
- Implement procedures guidelines, information sheets. Workplace inspections, Hazards and incidents reports and investigations.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification in WHS and or HR
- Demonstrate ability to translate complex legislative requirements into practical and suitable compliance solutions
- Cert. IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
- Relevant experience and appropriate qualifications in accordance with requirements outlined in the position description
- A good level of skills and knowledge to undertake investigation and assessment of traffic related issues
- Good written communication skills for preparation of reports and correspondence
- Good verbal communication and negotiation skills to liaise with the public and relevant external agencies
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours
- Current driver's licence.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are listed below;
- Entry level for this position starts at $70k pa.
- 40 hour working week
- Monday - Friday with rare weekend inspections to occur
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), employer superannuation contributions.
