**Your new company**

Our client based just outside the CBD is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their busy collaborative team.

**Your new role**

In your new role, you will be reporting to the Supervisor/Manager responsible for the team; individual partner/director for specific client matters. You will be required to coordinate reconciliations and monthly reporting to the Business Services Team and design and implement an end-to-end solution tailored to our growing client needs.-
- Prepare Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements and understand the workings of the GST law.- Have a general understanding of other taxes and when they apply, including Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and Workcover.- Have a general understanding of depreciating assets and the need to segregate and narrate in monthly processing for year-end tax work.- Preparation of financial reports.- Prepare monthly financial statements and identify problem areas and abnormalities as they arise.- Prepare supporting work papers to accompany monthly financial statements to assist with year-end tax work.- Process bank and payment matters - prepare deposit, reconciling bank A/c and ledger, reconciling receipts & expenses from bank statements.- Prepare PAYG payment summaries for clients and PAYG payment summary statement for ATO.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in the role you will have:
Microsoft packages (Excel, Word & Outlook)- Proven experience using MYOB, XERO, QuickBooks and Cashflow Manager- Ideally, a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper- Ability to analyse and use judgement- Have strong prioritisation, planning and problem-solving skills
