**Your new company**
Established locally since the last 10years, our client is an Accounting firm working with a number of clients across industries. The company’s culture and collective mindset is oriented towards constant progress, hence, are currently looking to fill a Bookkeeper role in their Adelaide office.
**Your new role**
As a Bookkeeper you will be based in the corporate office located South-East of the CBD and will report to the Accounting Manager.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Manage and oversee the bookkeeping & payroll department, including the bookkeeping/accounting staff, workflow and processes.
- Review and approve bookkeeping entries, reconciliation, and reports prepared by the bookkeeping/accounting staff.
- Review and approve payroll processing, reconciliation and reports prepared by the bookkeeping/accounting staff
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Coordinate with other departments, to ensure timely and accurate completion of client engagements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the bookkeeping department.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, regulations and technology.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, MYOB or Quick Books.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and mange multiple priorities.
