Community Hub Coordinator

**About the Role**:
As the Community Hub Coordinator, you will have responsibility for the following:
- Create a welcoming environment which encourages parents and their children to engage and become active in the hub
- Interact positively with parents, students, colleagues, and community members and organisations, and undertake duties consistent with the strategic direction of Inala State School and Community Hub partnership.
- Develop a communications strategy to ensure families in the community are well aware of opportunities created and are engaged with the hub activities.
- Informed by your consultations and in partnership with local service providers in the early years and settlement context, plan activities and lead projects that support the local community and build their capacity and skill level in alignment with the program outcomes For example, setting up English language programs and playgroups; providing parenting and settlement support
- Ensure integration of the Community Hub activities with the range of programs and services in the community.
- Ensure that communities and children are involved in the design and implementation of tailored wellbeing programs
- Facilitate suitable consultative mechanisms and procedures to provide effective co-ordination and collaboration across local, state and federal government funded services that will make a difference in delivering wellbeing programs
- Build strong relationships within the school and support the school to be able to develop families' participation in early years and school readiness programs as well as the school's ability to support and respond to family needs
- Work in partnership with local services to make supported referrals and connect families to other programs and learning opportunities in the community
- Participate in hub leader meetings and professional development opportunities in your local government area as well as the Community of Practice
- a national space for you to learn from other hub leaders across all the states
- Complete regular reports and share lessons and case studies with your school/Community Hubs Australia
- Prepare and respond to correspondence, and facilitate reporting and evaluation. Some administrative assistance may be provided as negotiated with the Principal.
- Participate and support evaluations of the program.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
