Our client a leading financial organisation is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Manager with a deep expertise in AWS to join the dynamic team. As a DevOps Manager (AWS-focused), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing cloud infrastructure strategy, while leading a team of skilled engineers.You will also be reporting to the exec and will be required to communicate strategy and be willing to participate in recruitment and the people management process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage a team of 3-6 highly skilled DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to drive their professional growth and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and implement AWS-focused DevOps strategies and best practices, including infrastructure as code, configuration management, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Design and present solid Business cases to the exec to get funding for new implementations.
- Drive automation initiatives using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies, enabling efficient and repeatable deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, QA, and operations, to foster a collaborative and efficient DevOps culture.
- Stay up to date with AWS best practices and emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools and services to enhance our cloud infrastructure.
- Define and enforce security measures and best practices to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Manager or a similar leadership role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, RDS, and others.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are highly desirable.
