We represent a renewable energy company made up of long standing industry professionals who specialise in large scale renewables in Australia.

**The Role**

This is a growth role that will see you reporting into the General Counsel and Head of Strategy and working closely with all the other executives within the business.

As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for:

- Developing and implementing new strategy for the business;
- Developing and implementing new product offerings;
- Originate and structure deal opportunities - develop and structure from conception through to term sheet/ MOU, lead co-ordination of all functions for input on commercial opportunities and prepare and present transaction opportunity proposal to leadership team;
- Lead and co-ordinate transaction delivery through to FID/ contractual close, work closely with development, finance, legal, markets and technical functions on transaction delivery;
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations;
- Staying on top of regulatory changes in the region and identifying development opportunities in the APAC region;
- Identify and evaluate strategic partnering opportunities with renewable developers, energy retailers/ wholesalers, government and suppliers;
- Business development - cultivate and maintain a deep network with energy wholesalers, developers, financiers and investors, government, TSPs and other key stakeholders to scope opportunities; and
- Developing and communicating opportunities to the leadership team.

**Requirements**:
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager within the renewables space or a senior lawyer with significant energy/projects experience who is interested in making a move across to a commercial role.

Whether you are already a commercial manager or a practicing solicitor you will have exposure to the energy and renewable energy space and have a commercial and strategic mindset.
