**Your next career opportunity**
As an Exhibitions Officer at the University of Melbourne's Museums and Collections Department, you'll play a crucial role in the delivery of dynamic, cross-disciplinary exhibitions that engage both academic and public audiences. Working across leading cultural venues including Buxton Contemporary, Science Gallery Melbourne, and the Ian Potter Museum of Art, you will provide essential administrative support for ambitious curatorial projects, contributing to the University's vision of a unified Cultural Commons, celebrating art, science, and culture.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- **Support Exhibition Development**:Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of engaging exhibitions across multiple university venues.
- **Manage Administrative Processes**:Handle contracts, invoices, and financial records to ensure smooth project execution.
- **Coordinate Timelines and Resources**:Help schedule and track exhibition projects, ensuring efficient use of time and materials.
- **Collaborate Across Teams**:Work closely with colleagues to support installation, improve processes, and achieve strategic objectives.

You are an organised and collaborative professional with a background in museum or gallery administration, possessing strong project support skills and a passion for enhancing cultural engagement in an academic setting.
**You may also**:
- Hold a graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or have equivalent experience.
- Have experience in administrative or project support roles, ideally in cultural institutions.
- Possess strong organisational and time management skills, adept at handling multiple deadlines.
- Be familiar with financial systems and processes, including invoice handling and budget tracking.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder liaison.
- Be proficient in or willing to learn internal project management and financial systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully within a diverse team.
