**Key responsibilities of this role**:
1. Assist in providing secretariat support to the Local Thriving Communities governance committees, and at meetings and forums as required, including collating meeting papers and preparing minutes.
2. Analyse and prepare timely and well researched briefings, reports, presentations, submissions and correspondence on issues relating to the Local Thriving Communities reform.
3. Contribute to a strengths based departmental culture embedded in high expectation relationships, ensuring sensitive and effective communication with people from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, as well as an appreciation of the impacts of historical policies and practices.
4. Recognise and articulate the interests of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander people and able to consult in accordance with cultural protocols if required.
5. Provide project management support to the team including meeting departmental reporting obligations.
6. Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the development and implementation of the Local Thriving Communities governance committees.
7. Respond to requests as they arise, regarding policy and implementation of the reform.
8. Provide practice and cultural support to committee members to build cultural competence.
9. Participate in team discussions, team planning and other relevant projects as required to achieve operational and strategic objectives of the LTC team.
10. All staff are responsible for identifying, managing and reporting risks relating to their work with DSDSATSIP.
