About the Role
Lead the functional delivery of the integration of Suncorp Bank into ANZ’s APS 116, APS117 and APS 180 models.
Closely work with the BAU and Project teams to ensure that APRA and internal model requirements are translated into business requirements that can be delivered by the project team.
Some of the key linkages for the role will be the Traded, Non-Traded and Counterparty Credit Risk teams, Technology, Internal audit and Suncorp Bank and APRA Reform Project teams.
**Role Location**: Melbourne or Sydney CBD
**Role Type**: 12 month opportunity, Full-time
What will your day look like?
**The role is responsible for**:
Work with the Head of Traded, Non Traded Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk Project and BaU teams to understand the current and revised APS 116, APS 117 APS 180 standards and processes and the requirements to integrate Suncorp Bank into ANZ’s models.
Work closely with Traded, Non-Traded Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk teams to ensure we are aligned on delivery approach.
Proactively provide business with advice and insight in relation to improvements, gaps or deficiencies to improve the overall design and solution.
Ensure the project meets APRA and internal standards for model changes
Document differences in BAU processes and any new processes developed
Build and manage a small team to deliver this initiative (this role could have direct reports)
Set the cultural tone (aligned with ANZ values) which encourages individuals to challenge status quo and develop creative problem solving.
Manage and attend to team escalations as needed.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong understanding of traded, non-traded and counterparty credit risk. Good understanding of traded, non-traded and Counterparty Credit Risk management
Ability to understand APRA prudential standards for APS 116, APS 117 and APS 180 and guide and interpret into reporting and capital requirements. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Visio. Strong attention to detail and proven problem solving capability
Support internal audit reviews. Strong focus on continuous improvements and change management
Strong ability and experience in working with Market Risk, Audit, Tech, Assurance stakeholders
Having a curious mindset and proactively understanding industry and business specific nuances in an institutional banking environment. Team focused and able to effectively manage, coach and mentor individuals to enhance staff productivity, engagement and build exceptional talent/capability for their team and ANZ
An understanding of the regulatory obligations which are changing in the Traded, Non-Traded and Counterparty Credit Risk space.
Strong ability to Deliver What Matters.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment.
Proven relationship building skills and ability to influence outcomes
