**About the Role**
Join our Financial Crime Operation’s as an AML Systems and Data Analyst, specialising in the review, enhancement, and optimisation of detection scenarios to effectively identify and mitigate financial crime risks. Your focus will be on ensuring comprehensive risk coverage by evaluating detection systems and scenarios, including Above-the-Line and Below-the-Line segmentation This critical role supports the safeguarding of BOQ Group against financial crimes by strengthening detection capabilities across AML, Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF), Transaction Monitoring, Politically Exposed Persons, and Sanctions Screening.
This role will play a key role in driving improvements to detection scenarios, ensuring alignment with organisational and regulatory requirements while working collaboratively with the broader Financial Crime Operation’s and Compliance teams and in alignment with Part A/B of the AML/CTF Program. **About you** Requirements**:
- Previous experience in TM detection scenario management, financial crime risk, or data analytics.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in segmentation methodologies, including ATL and BTL.
- Proficiency in programming and analytics tools such as SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Databricks.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working approach.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Knowledge of transaction monitoring systems, detection workflows, and segmentation strategies.
- Expertise in Jira for task management and strong report-writing skills to clearly communicate insights and updates.
- Familiarity with AML/CTF regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in supporting detection scenario reviews and contributing to the enhancement of financial crime detection processes.
- Exposure to data governance processes and emerging technologies like machine learning.
