**Your role**
- Want to make a change for the better? Join a dynamic, collaborative, and diverse team in the Department’s Open Government, Information and Privacy (OGIP) Unit. You will play a key role in ensuring DCJ’s compliance with the _Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009_ (GIPA Act), _Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998_ (PPIP Act), and subpoenas. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to transparency, privacy, and compliance while developing your career. **What you’ll do**
- _Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 _(GIPA)
- _Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 _(PPIPA)
- _Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 _(HRIPA)
- _National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2018_
- You will also:
- Draft and prepare simple notices of decision under the GIPA Act in compliance with statutory time frames.
- Assist with financial management processes including the creation of invoices and banking monies received.
- Undertake legal research and make enquiries as directed by the Director, solicitors and other legal staff.
**What we’re looking for**
- Experience in providing legal administrative support and client service.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise work effectively
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including legal document preparation
- A current Working with Children Check and the ability to obtain fingerprint-based police clearance
