**About the Role**:
The Canberra Health Services Division of Allied Health Services provides a range of services with a strong emphasis placed across all sections on accessible and timely care, delivered to a high standard of safety and quality. This is underpinned by the Division’s commitment to research and training. The Division works in partnership with professional colleagues, consumers, and a range of government and non-government service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

The Acute Allied Health Services Psychology team provides evidence-based care to inpatients and outpatients across multiple divisions of The Canberra Hospital (TCH) and Canberra Health Services. TCH is an acute care teaching hospital of approximately 600 beds, and a tertiary referral centre that provides a broad range of specialist services to the people of the ACT and Southeast NSW. The team consists of Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Neuropsychologist and General Psychologist roles.

The Allied Health Assistant role in the Psychology team provides valuable support to the psychology team. This role may involve working to support the care provided to adult and paediatric patients (both group and individual client input) in inpatient and outpatient settings in the following clinical areas:

- Multidisciplinary pain management unit- Eating disorders (adult and paediatric)- Functional Neurological Disorders- Cancer care- Acute and intensive care- Paediatrics (including the newborn follow up service)- Medical and surgical services**For more information regarding the position duties click here for the **_Position Description._**
