**Health and Safety Coordinator**

Protek247 provides commercial building and maintenance services (reactive and planned). Our commercial building sector specialises in fit-outs and refurbishments of existing structures while our maintenance division complements and contributes to these activities.

We are currently on the search for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join the team, reporting to the General Manager. We are looking for someone with previous experience in Work Health and Safety or someone looking at transitioning away from the tools.

This opportunity will require you to:

- Lead by example, promote and encourage safety behaviours amongst all employees and contractors
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with health and safety requirements and complies with all regulatory requirements
- Develop and run monthly safety toolbox meetings
- Perform site audits, pre-starts, and risk assessments
- Perform incident investigation activities, promote a culture of reporting, and recommend preventative/corrective actions
- Coordinate and perform internal drug and alcohol testing
- Develop and communicate internal and external safety bulletins
- Maintain training compliance for all employees
- Proactively contribute and participate in continuous improvement activities
- Monitor OHS standards and legislation, and ensure compliance to safety policies and procedures
- Assist in the development of safety documentations such as JSAs, SWMS, Take 5’s
- Ensure that MSDS are updated and readily available to all employees
- Assist in the onboarding of new employees and conduct inductions as required
- Organise and coordinate training as required

**Requirements**:

- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience or knowledge in the building construction industry, legislation, codes, and Australian standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communication style and content depending on the audience
- Ability to adapt, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Working at Heights (current in the last two years)
- Construction White Card
- Manual C-Class Drivers Licence
- National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

Desirables:

- Previous trade experience
- Previous experience with AroFlo
- ACM experience or training
- HRWL - EWP or Forklift
- First Aid
