**Who are we looking for?**

We’re looking for a Transport Planner to join our WA Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering team.

The growing demand to deliver transport infrastructure and services requires us to work alongside our clients to define future infrastructure needs and investigate the why, when and how of delivering such infrastructure in innovative and sustainable ways.

You will work on various transport projects with the opportunity to work closely with other teams from the wider Transport group, as well as from other groups such as Urban Planning and GHD Advisory. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to provide leadership of projects and teams.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Major city-shaping projects, not only locally but nationally and globally
- Running and owning your own projects and tasks
- Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines and around the world
- Developing your skills to enhance career progression
- Mentoring emerging talent in addition to learning from senior leaders within GHD
- Preparing proposals in response to client requests
- Report writing, investigations, technical analysis, presentations and stakeholder engagement

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Degree qualified in Planning or Engineering (Civil) with 5-15 years’ experience in transport planning and/or traffic engineering.
- Pro-active and enthusiastic attitude, great team-working approach and an ability to work both independently and as part of an integrated wider team. You will also have an appetite to grow into a leadership role.
- Well-developed communication skills, including report writing and the ability to present concepts to a diverse range of clients.
- Highly developed client service and people relationship skills.
- Demonstrated experience on transport projects, with knowledge and experience of the WA context desirable (but not essential).
- Transport modelling and/or road safety auditing skills are advantageous, but not essential.
