**About the job**
We are searching for a studio and production manager to manage projects and oversee the hands-on process of taking a job from design brief to concept to finished product.
You will have your finger on the pulse of the studio, monitoring all jobs to ensure their timely delivery according to client needs and objectives.
You will have design experience, with the technical ability and design knowledge to be able to proof jobs and jump on the tools to help the studio get jobs over the line where needed.
More specifically, on a day-to-day basis your responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with the Creative Director to lead and manage our team of graphic designers, while supporting and strengthening workflow processes to achieve client deadlines and support production schedules.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure all design output is of top quality and ready for production, including assisting with the design process as required.
- Foster a collaborative work environment.
- Encourage open communication, creativity and teamwork.
- Liaise with the Account Services team to ensure projects are on track, and ensure progress is accurately documented in our internal workflow management system.
- Support the Account Services team to estimate, manage production, review fee proposals and product timelines.
- Participate in and document discussions during client meetings and conference calls.
- Raise quotes for new jobs based on requests from clients.
- Liaise with vendors, review quotes, verify production specs, and manage the production process.
- Assist with staff requirements, leave requests, mental health and wellbeing.
- Support continuous personal development.
- Develop and maintain clear processes.
**About you**
- Experience_
- Experience managing a small design team, juggling multiple projects, responsibilities and deadlines whilst reporting directly to senior/executive level staff.
- Experience working as a graphic designer for web, offset and digital printing.
- Proven ability to accurately and fairly estimate a variety of design projects, from business cards to TVC’s.
- Hands-on experience with design production processes.
- Skills_
- Highly organised, passionate about the creative industry, and an excellent communicator.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
- Has a pragmatic approach to work and is able to easily prioritise projects and tasks.
- Genuine interest in marketing and project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Calm under pressure.
