About the role
The Team Leader is a key member of the Client Services team at Funds in Court (FIC) and is accountable for services arising from day-to-day dealings with clients and carers and, in particular, with respect to their requests to access their funds in Court. The position must balance and negotiate such requests and expectations with requirements set by the Judiciary. Forward planning, negotiation and decision-making are key components of the role. The position will assist in the formulation of technical policies and standards for trust administration, asset management and client liaison services.
- Receive escalated issues and complaints within the Team and resolve any grievances through a process of consultation, explanation and negotiation. Report to the Client Services Manager on the status of complaints and escalate any matters that remain unresolved.
- Actively contribute to the Client Services Leadership Team and manage the implementation of process improvements / projects within the work unit to achieve service excellence.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide regular reporting to the Client Services Manager on any identified client or staff related issues.
- Assist in the formulation of technical policies and standards and contribute to strategic business planning.
About you
- High-level knowledge of the procedural and practical requirements of the Senior Master, (who is an Associate Judge) of relevant legislation, particularly of the Supreme Court Act 1986, the Trustee Act 1958, the Guardianship and Administration Act 2019, the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 and the Rules of Court, as they impact upon the administration of funds in Court for persons under disability.
- Understanding of complex legal and trustee standards for persons under disability within the context of overall Office operations.
- Experience managing relationships with allied health providers, real estate agents, solicitors, valuers, insurers, buyer's advocates, builders (and contractors) and property inspectors.
