**About the role**

VDG are seeking cleaning staff for a part time position in the Geelong area, experience would be preferred. On site training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Positions available are for early morning shift starting at 6am and finishing at 9am, however overtime may be requested.

**Key responsibilities**

To be successful in the position you must have:

- General cleaning duties including litter collection from bins, vacuuming and dusting, sweeping and mopping floors.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
- A professional and honest approach to work.
- Be able to follow health and safety regulations.
- Full training will be given to the successful appplicants.

Your main responsibilities will include the cleaning of office buildings and administration areas, toilets and showers.

**Desirable Skills**
- Operation of vacuum cleaner, floor buffing machine and carpet cleaning machine. All equipment will only be used after full training is provided.
- Previous knowledge and understanding of working in a laundry would be an advantage.
- Training in the safe use and distribution of chemicals.
- Full drivers’ licence. Due to early 6am start, safe and secure onsite parking is provided.

**Requirements of the Role**
- The successful applicant will need to be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment medical test which will include a drug and alcohol test.
- You must be able to pass a criminal history check.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A sound understanding of OH&S processes and procedures.
- Must be a resident of the Geelong area.

This is a part-time position, Monday to Friday with hours of work consisting of early morning shifts - 6am start to 9am finish.
