Job Opportunity:

A challenging role as Senior Project Manager is available in a collaborative and future-focused team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex capital works projects across the LGA, from feasibility through to construction and completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage large infrastructure projects across building and open space
  • Develop detailed project plans aligned with a structured project management framework
  • Manage consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to scope
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, prepare business cases and lead stakeholder engagement processes
  • Oversee procurement, contract management and tender documentation
  • Act as Superintendent or client representative on site-based works
  • Ensure all projects meet safety, environmental and quality standards
About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Urban Design, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience delivering capital works or public realm projects in local government or consultancy
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract administration, and regulatory compliance
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal presentation skills

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading complex capital works projects, driving collaboration and innovation within the team. Your expertise in project management will enable you to oversee every stage of project development, from initial feasibility studies to successful project completion.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, urban design, planning, landscape architecture, or a related field. They will also have significant experience in delivering capital works projects in local government or consultancy environments, with a proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation.

In this role, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, allowing you to work independently while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our organisation and driving success in our capital works projects.
