Recreational Activities Officer

At our organisation, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Recreational Activities Officer to join our team in the Riverina Murray Region. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting positive health and wellbeing options for individuals, their families, and carers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating social, recreational, and cultural activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. This includes planning, organising, and leading activities that promote independence, quality of life, and mental wellbeing.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver activities.
  • Ability to assess and document the effectiveness of programs, tracking resident progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • A minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle, with senior first aid certification desirable.
  • Previous experience in an aged care setting, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet/intranet skills.
