Customs Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Customs Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our import and export operations, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods in and out of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate customs clearance operations by liaising with international operators to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Update internal customs systems to reflect changes in regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Request or compile necessary documentation for exports and imports.
  • Clear goods through customs using provided paperwork and ensure accurate duty and tariff payments.
  • Advise colleagues on import and export restrictions, tariffs, insurance requirements, quotas, and other customs-related matters.
  • Maintain effective communication with departments to process shipments efficiently.
  • Provide updates on shipment status to internal operators.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure during high-volume periods.
  • Excellent teamwork and individual task management skills.
