Data Centre Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of the facility operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our data centre facilities.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in security operations, with experience in conducting regular security patrols, screening personnel, and responding to incidents. You will also possess excellent communication and observational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular security checks of the facility to prevent unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Screen all personnel entering and exiting restricted areas.
- Monitor facility alarms and security systems, investigating and responding to any incidents.
- Act as first responder to emergencies and assist with incident management.
- Manage keys and access control systems.
- Identify prohibited items and prevent their introduction or removal from restricted areas.
- Australian citizenship and full working rights in Victoria.
- AGSVA Baseline/NV1 clearance.
- Experience using IT systems for security access and control.
- A valid Security License (Class 1A or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and observational skills.
