About the Role

This is a technical expert position that will focus on delivering cloud-based solutions using Microsoft infrastructure. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, including Hyper-V, Azure, and Exchange.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management
    • Utilise Microsoft best practices to manage cloud and on-premises implementations.
    • Manage Hyper-V hosts and maintenance of virtual machines.
  • Automation and Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement and reduction in manual effort by automating deployments and configuration updates.
  • Service Delivery
    • Execute application and/or platform changes, releases, and service requests in supported environments.
    • Root cause analysis and service improvement solutions.
    • Liaise with teams for development of corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve major incidents.
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Adhere to ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Microsoft Infrastructure Experience
    • Minimum 10 years Microsoft infrastructure deployment and operational support experience.
    • Strong Level 3 Wintel experience.
    • Public Key infrastructure experience.
    • VMWare VCP.
    • Hands-on experience with Exchange, SCOM, and PowerShell.
  • Cloud Computing
    • Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service.
  • Certifications and Training
    • ITIL Foundations v3 Certification.
    • Strong scripting skills to support automation efforts (PowerShell).
