About the Role
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining and monitoring the sewerage treatment plant, sewerage pump stations and sewer reticulation assets. The successful candidate will participate in the construction and repair of sewer reticulation assets, carry out water quality tests and keep accurate records of results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain and monitor the sewerage treatment plant, sewerage pump stations and sewer reticulation assets
  • Participate in the construction and repair of sewer reticulation assets
  • Carry out water quality tests and keep accurate records of results
  • Participate in the sewer on-call roster
  • Assist with any other tasks related to the Water and Wastewater Section

Working Environment
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator will work a 38-hour working week, over a 9-day fortnight. Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years, 4 weeks paid annual leave and 3 weeks sick leave per year are also provided.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen or hold a valid visa with permission to work
  • Complete an Identity check - supplying 100 points of identification for verification
  • Be willing to complete an Integrity/Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
  • Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical and audiogram
