About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Program Officer to join our team and contribute to delivering community programs, projects, and activities in our Neighbourhood Centres.

  • Develop and implement innovative programs that foster engagement and inclusion of our whole community.
  • Support social research and community engagement processes to increase understanding of community needs, challenges, and aspirations.
  • Maintain and track statistical data to monitor and report on outcomes of programs and events.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering community programs, projects, and activities in accordance with Council's community vision and funding obligations.
  • Supporting existing and recruiting new program facilitators and volunteers to provide services to our Neighbourhood Centres.
  • Monitoring and reporting on program expenditure and variances.
  • Gathering and analysing customer feedback to establish the value, satisfaction, and expectations for each service provided.
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Coordination of programs and facilitators, including staff and volunteers.
  • At least five years' experience working within a human services or community development field.
