About the Role

This position involves playing a crucial role in ensuring the operation and maintenance of high-voltage equipment and MV lines at the MacIntyre substations. Your responsibilities will include allocating resources efficiently, adhering to safety standards, and implementing environmental best practices. This opportunity allows you to contribute significantly to a groundbreaking renewable energy project.

The ideal candidate should be based locally near Warwick, QLD, but we recognize the value of talent from wider regions and are open to flexible travel arrangements for candidates living further away.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Acciona Energy's safety policies and QSE standards while overseeing contractor adherence.
  • Direct and supervise high-voltage activities, guaranteeing proper equipment operation, including substations and HV/MV lines.
  • Adapt preventive maintenance schedules according to legal and operational requirements; perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Contribute to predictive maintenance, inventory management, and spare parts budgeting.
  • Provide technical support, conduct failure analysis, and manage documentation related to equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to monitor equipment life, plan replacements, and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Train technicians, define maintenance methods, and supervise oil sampling and electrical tests.
  • Participate in a 24/7 call-in roster and audit contractor work.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An appropriate Trade Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Disciplines.
  • A valid QLD "A Grade" Electrical License is essential.
  • The ability to maintain a HV Operator License (essential).
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-trade experience.
  • Basic computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
  • A current manual driver's license.
  • The capacity to undertake responsibilities in accordance with the ACCIONA Energía Safety Management System.
