About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Specialist to join our team in Warwick, QLD, and be part of a groundbreaking renewable energy project. As a HV Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of high-voltage equipment and MV lines at the MacIntyre substations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Oversight: Ensure compliance with Acciona Energia safety policies and QSE standards while overseeing contractor adherence.
  • Direct Supervision: Direct and supervise high-voltage activities, ensuring proper equipment operation, including substations and HV/MV lines.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Adapt preventive maintenance schedules based on legal and operational requirements; perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Contribute to predictive maintenance, inventory management, and spare parts budgeting.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support, conduct failure analysis, and manage documentation related to equipment.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with Engineering to monitor equipment life, plan replacements, and extend equipment lifespan; train technicians, define maintenance methods, and supervise oil sampling and electrical tests.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Trade Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Disciplines.
