Technical Support Specialist

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our Pacific Zone team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our Software Support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers across various software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve complex software issues, proposing workarounds for customers
  • Accurately document activities and findings in our case management system
  • Contribute to digital self-help materials promoting faster problem resolution for our customers
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other support centers and departments
  • Focus on customer experience, contributing to successful interactions and managing customer expectations

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Application Support within an ASX top 100 business, supporting mainstream software applications and multiple customers
  • Proficiency working with and understanding software architecture, software unit testing, and other aspects of the SDLC
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science and complemented by a working understanding of software and automation hardware communications and setup

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with AVEVA System Platform and Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA will be advantageous
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and security
  • Knowledge of general Windows operating system tools and commands that help with diagnosing and troubleshooting software
  • Working knowledge and understanding of integrating hardware and software
