
Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our dynamic team. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive environment and contribute to the development of young people who need guidance, energy, and care.
This part-time role involves working with young people in our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Program, providing trauma-informed services that achieve positive outcomes for youth and their families. You will be responsible for mentoring and engaging young people, guiding them through life skills development and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and engage young people, promoting positive behaviors, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility.
- Provide hands-on support with day-to-day tasks like meal prep, shopping, and housekeeping to ensure a safe and stable environment.
- Collaborate with a vibrant team to tailor services that meet the specific needs of each young person.
- Safeguard wellbeing by reporting any concerns to ensure they're safe and supported.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must Have A Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in youth services or residential care.
- A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and a commitment to cultural competency.
- A trauma-informed approach to working with young people facing significant challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support youth effectively.

- Valid and Current Workers with Children Check
- Valid and Current NDIS Workers Screen
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check
