About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Streaky Bay Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall profitability and success of the hotel through the management of our food operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality meals to all dining areas of the hotel, ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of presentation and taste.
  • Craft, prepare, and present dishes at the utmost level of quality, consistently exceeding guest expectations.
  • Order and manage inventory, maintaining accurate stock controls and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleaning and hygiene, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Monitor staff performance, reporting any incidents or performance issues to the Head Chef and Hotel Manager in a timely manner.
  • Enforce all hotel policies and procedures, reporting any staff breaches to the Head Chef and Hotel Manager as necessary.
  • Ensure the kitchen is properly maintained, reporting any repairs or suggested changes to the Head Chef and Hotel Manager.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

About You:

  • Relevant hospitality diploma or degree, or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
  • Dedication and enthusiasm for delivering top-tier service, consistently prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Adeptness in handling a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate, train, and counsel staff.
  • Aspiration to advance and excel within the industry.

Remuneration:

$70,000 – $75,000 per year, plus superannuation.

Job Type: Full-time.
