About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Streaky Bay Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, stock management, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and excellence in food quality.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve culinary excellence and meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and hotel policies.
  • Monitor and report on kitchen performance, including food costs, labor efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

About You:

  • Relevant hospitality diploma or degree in commercial cookery or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a hotel or high-volume food service environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
