Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sushi Artisan to join our team. As a casual position, there is potential for this role to become more permanent in the future.

The Sushi Artisan will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and working efficiently as part of a fast-paced retail outlet. This includes:

  • Customer Service: Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers
  • Cash Handling: Correctly handle cash transactions using the POS machine
  • Display Presentation: Organise and maintain the display presentation area
  • Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness of the service area

In addition to customer-facing duties, the Sushi Artisan will also be responsible for:

  • Kitchen Hand Duties:
    • Preparing and cooking ingredients, including lifting rice cookers/spinners
    • Making hand rolls, Inari & Nigiri
    • Clean and maintain equipment, utensils etc.
    • Cleaning benches/shelving/walls/ceiling etc.
