Media Communications Specialist

Key Responsibilities
As a Media Communications Specialist at World Vision, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's media and communications strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Pitching stories to Australian media outlets and drafting briefing documents to support high-level media engagements.
- Developing and implementing targeted campaigns to build and maintain World Vision's reputation among the Australian public.
- Thinking creatively to come up with newsworthy hooks for World Vision's stories and developing high-quality communications products through internal resources or external agencies.
- Drafting briefing documents for high-level media engagements and other events, and supporting World Vision's signature campaigns with an eye to influential media and government engagement.
- Managing and enhancing World Vision's approach to data-driven campaigning and maintaining a strong relationship with the organization's media monitoring service.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in similar roles, with a strong understanding of the Australian media and political landscape.
- Strong communications, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage a broad array of internal and external stakeholders.
- A university degree, preferably with a background in politics or communications, and a strong interest in current affairs.
