About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Media Adviser to join our team at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of innovative, high-quality, and effective communications and media solutions for our regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic communications and media plans to support the achievement of government priorities and departmental objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on communications and media channels and processes to support the delivery of effective communications and media solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement communications and media campaigns that promote the department's objectives and priorities.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and other key partners to ensure effective communications and media coverage.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the department's policies, programs, and initiatives to provide expert advice on communications and media matters.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience in communications, media, and marketing.
  • Contemporary knowledge of strategic communications and media channels and processes.
  • Sound knowledge of and experience working in government would be desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
