Job OverviewThis part-time, temporary position offers the opportunity to work in a fulfilling role within the not-for-profit sector. As a Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for supporting internal health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Governance
- Continually support and maintain internal health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Training and Development
- Train staff on safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Emergency Response
- Manage emergency procedures and coordinate drills to ensure staff are prepared in case of an emergency.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans to minimize the risk of injury or damage.
- Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and produce statistical reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Recommend improvements in the health and safety management system to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure the organisation is up to date with new legislation and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of safety management information systems
This part-time role offers:
