The Opportunity

We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Northern Queensland, with occasional travel to various sites. The role requires a relevantly qualified individual with excellent communication skills, and the confidence to liaise with clients, investigate incidents, and provide direct, educated feedback and advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong and engaging working relationships at all levels
  • Lead incident investigations and reporting
  • Conduct inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule
  • Being proactive, promoting H&S, and continuously helping improve the business
  • Be visible across the workplace, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders by spending time in the field

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in WH&S Cert 4 or greater and industry experience
  • Experience in Mining, Construction, industrial services, or similar industries
  • Qualifications and/or experience in incident investigation
  • Effective influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS legislation
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
