Serving Faith Communities as a Compassionate Care Leader

The role involves providing high-quality spiritual care to residents and their families, demonstrating a mature spiritual and pastoral formation and capacity to reflect theologically on experience.
A key aspect of the position is leading by example, inspiring and influencing others in a faith community context, with highly developed listening and interpersonal skills that demonstrate an understanding of person-centred care.
The Spiritual Care Coordinator will also be responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of spiritual care volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional support and services across diverse religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions.
Additionally, this role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, including the capacity to explain the practice and possibilities of spiritual care to people from varied backgrounds.
Experience working in dementia and palliative care contexts with older people is also desirable, as is a qualification in theology or spiritual care. A commitment to ongoing professional development and alignment with BaptistCare's Mission, Vision, and Values is essential.
This is a part-time position at 0.6 FTE (3 days a week), requiring flexibility and ability to work independently, as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The successful applicant will undergo a National Criminal History check, medical assessment, and have the right to work in Australia.
