About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team at Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising the assigned station/section of the outlet kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality products and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in menu planning, implementation, and execution
  • Work in the main kitchen, servicing both the Promenade Café, Tea Lounge, and in-room dining
  • Maintain the assigned station/section in a clean and orderly manner at all times
  • Train associates as necessary in the preparation and presentation of items
  • Suggest alternative menu items, meet specific customer requests, and interact with customers to meet and exceed their culinary expectations
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels
  • Experience in luxury international brands is highly regarded
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards
