Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to lead our pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care and medication services at the North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.

About the Role:

  • Lead Clinical Pharmacy Service: Manage the provision of safe and efficient clinical pharmacy services to inpatients, aligning service provisions with relevant standards such as the Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Implement Service Delivery Frameworks: Develop and implement frameworks that achieve continuity in medication management, leveraging the Australian Government's Guiding Principles.
  • Analyze Service Effectiveness: Measure and analyze information on the effectiveness of service provisions, adjusting priorities and implementing initiatives to improve service efficiency, patient care, and medication safety.

About You:

  • Experience in Clinical Pharmacy: Possess extensive experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy services in a range of practice settings, aligning contemporary clinical pharmacy service models.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrate experience in leading clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting, showcasing knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and workplace guidelines applicable to the practice of pharmacy in a public hospital.
