Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Friendly Society Private Hospital. In this role, you will work closely with our Registered Nurses and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including daily living activities, hygiene-related needs, and mobility requirements. You will also play a key role in enhancing patient safety by providing care to patients who may be suffering from cognitive impairment or exhibit challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide assistance to patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  2. Assist patients with mobility needs, including pushing wheelchairs and helping with transfers.
  3. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  4. Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistant or similar qualification (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is advantageous.

Salary

$65,000 - $70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
