About the Role
We are seeking a Compassionate Support Specialist to join our team in Maryborough and surrounding suburbs. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy challenging but rewarding work and share our vision of an inclusive society.
As a Compassionate Support Specialist, you will be an integral part of the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support with personal care tasks, including showering, toileting, dressing, and more
- Assisting with administering medications
- Transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and providing general assistance with mobility
- Supporting with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Accompanying clients to community engagements, such as doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, or other social or recreational activities of their choice
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a calm and confident demeanor in various environments. You must also possess a commitment to infection prevention and control measures, including the use of PPE as directed.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
- A driver's license and vehicle
- A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating system
