Job Title: Project Leader

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced project leader with a mechanical or civil engineering background to support our clients' upcoming mining and mineral processing projects.

Focusing on leading the delivery of small or large-scale, multi-discipline projects or sustaining capital projects within an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) environment.

  • Full lifecycle project management from feasibility and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through to execution and commissioning
  • Interpreting technical information and integrating efforts alongside broader engineering coordination
  • Managing project scope, cost, schedule, and risk in alignment with EPCM delivery models
  • Overseeing contractor performance, procurement packages, and construction interfaces
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, EPCM partners, and client representatives
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience delivering mining or mineral processing projects (preferably coal) within an EPCM framework
  • Proven leadership in multidisciplinary project teams, with strong stakeholder and contractor management
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Aconex)
  • EPCM experience in the mining industry is essential
Key Skills:

Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders

Ability to interpret technical information and integrate efforts alongside broader engineering coordination

Experience working in an EPCM environment, with knowledge of EPCM delivery models

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks

Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Aconex

Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in the mining industry
