Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with allied health practitioners to ensure personalized meal plans accommodate participants' specific dietary needs and disabilities.
  2. Facilitate inclusive in-home cooking sessions and meal preparation that cater to participants' abilities.
  3. Assist participants with disabilities during grocery shopping trips, promoting independence and offering support as needed.
  4. Contribute to group cooking sessions that foster a sense of community and mutual support, ensuring that participants of all abilities can actively participate.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in disability support or related fields is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in culinary arts, nutrition, or a related field is essential.
  • Passion for helping others and addressing food insecurity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and understanding when working with participants of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
