Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. This role will involve providing analytical, commercial and administrative support across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories.

About the Role
  • Prepare and manage reports across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories aligned to individual reporting requirements.
  • Provide analytical, commercial and administrative support across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories.
  • Support implementation of end-to-end supply chains.
  • Manage execution and day to day operations of the supply chain (scheduling, coordinating, communicating, monitoring etc).
  • Support global procurement raw materials and by-products categories with sourcing projects, category and contract management tasks (contract execution, vendor performance reviews etc).
  • Engage with, communicate to, and influence global internal and external stakeholders.
  • Occasional site travel to Rio Tinto sites and vendor operations.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or above)
  • Proven time management skills, problem solving skills and ability to influence and negotiate;
  • Proven skills in applications such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel to be able to analyse data, generate reports, model commercial outcomes, and develop strategy documents, recommendation documents and interactive presentations.
  • Ability to articulate and present complex end to end supply chain solutions with internal and external stakeholders at all levels – senior management through to operational stakeholders;
  • Experience in collaboration platforms, such as Sharepoint, Teams etc.
  • Experience in Power BI and SAP is desirable, but not essential.
  • An ability to work unsupervised, be a self-starter and take the initiative to identify and then drive opportunities for business improvement;
  • Ability to be flexible and pivot your skill sets to support the changing business needs that may involve training and/or personal development through new and emerging applications and platforms.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum

The salary range is based on national averages for similar roles in the industry and location.
