Senior Hydrology Engineer Role

We are seeking a Senior Hydrology Engineer to join our team. This role will play a key part in delivering technically challenging and rewarding projects across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic investigation and design for studies including rural and urban flood studies, transport and mine infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modelling, stormwater management and mine water management.
  • Support the delivery of water resources projects nationally.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the engineering and environment teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Support the delivery of technical models and reports to a high standard, contributing to KBR's reputation for quality project outputs.
  • TUFLOW/HEC-RAS modelling and project management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree (Civil or Environmental) or solid work experience in hydraulic infrastructure design and project coordination.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hydrology/hydraulics experience required.
  • Registered as a Member of Engineers Australia and willing to obtain chartership within a reasonable agreed timeframe.
  • Current Engineers Australia membership required at time of application.
  • Prior experience providing mentorship or leadership to junior team members.
  • Prior experience of WSUD, Waterway design, Wetland design, Dams, retarding basins, major drainage assets, stormwater, water treatment is advantageous.
  • Must hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
  • Intermediate level TUFLOW/HEC-RAS modelling experience required.
