Key Responsibilities:

  • We're looking for a Data Expert to assemble complex data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading using Snowflake and AWS technologies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Develop data tools for analysts and other team members to assist in building and optimizing our product.
  • Work with data experts to improve data system functionality.

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or another quantitative field. A graduate degree is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with direct experience in data ingestion, ETLs, event-driven architecture, and data modeling.
  • Experience with:
    • Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
    • Relational SQL and NoSQL databases: SQL Server and Snowflake.
    • Infrastructure-As-Code tools: Terraform.
    • AWS cloud services: Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3.
    • Scripting languages: Python, Node.js, C++. Python is preferred.
    • API development frameworks: FastAPI or similar.
    • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
    • Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
